As you all know, we made the difficult, but correct decision to cancel our PF BDC this weekend due to dangerously low temperatures and wind. THE NEW DATE WILL BE APRIL 10-11, 2021 AT THE REMINGTON RANCH IN INDEPENDENCE, KS. Nothing changes except the date. We had close to 130 runs over t
The Bird Dog Classic is a 2-day trial that features Amateur and Open Pointing, Amateur and Open Flushing, Ladies Pointing and Flushing, Youth Pointing and Flushing, and Doubles Pointing and Flushing. The Amateur and Open divisions will consist of one run on Saturday. The top 10 dogs will then run again on Sunday and the winners will be determined by the top combined score and time. The Ladies and Youth divisions will be held on Saturday only and will consist of one run with the winner being determined by score and time. The Doubles division will be run on Sunday.
All trial rules will follow BHU rules. Dogs will receive one set of High Honor (HH) Points and Champion points per dog for Saturday's runs in the BHU Points.
There will also be an awards banquet on Saturday night at the Independence Country Club. Each handler will receive one meal ticket with each dog signed up. We will award the Ladies, Youth, and Doubles Champions at this banquet. Each hander will also receive ONE membership to either Pheasants Forever or Quail Forever.
The cost will be $175 for Amateur and Open, $80 for Ladies and $75 for Youth, and $150 per team in Doubles. This price includes a meal ticket for Saturday's banquet and ONE membership per handler to either Pheasants Forever or Quail Forever. All money will be collected by Wade McNaney BEFORE you enter the field. We will accept cash or checks only.
Winners of each singles division will receive a Henry Goldenboy 22 long rifle!! Trophies will be awarded to 2nd and 3rd place finishers. Winners of the doubles division will receive bark collars and a plaque. 2nd and 3rd place will receive a plaque as well.
